International Professionals Network How to make small talk, and why it’s an important skill to master?
We are living in a multi-cultural society.
Some cultures think small talk is a waste of time.

Professor of Applied Linguistics at Macquarie University Ingrid Piller, a bit of shallow conversation here and there does serve an important purpose.

Dr. Piller is actually German living in Australia. Read her tips below.

From my experience there are 3 topics that you can't fail with for both introverts and extroverts :

Family and Sports -you either love them or hate them.

Holidays-even the workaholics will dream of a holiday event if they don't actually go anywhere.

International Professionals Network A wonderful inspirational night at Monaco Country Club for Outward Bound's summer party. The 2016 participants were very enthusiastic about their experiences. It was great to listen to cyclists Gustav Larson and his wife Veronica talk passionately about their gruelling training. Food, music. Ambiance great. Contact Outward bound if you would like your children to participate in a life changing program .International Professionals Network added 6 new photos — at Monte-Carlo Country Club.11.09.2016 at 12:44 pmLike
International Professionals Network A big CONGRATULATIONS to Vanessa Ilsley and Christopher Foyle the President The Air League of Monaco for their successful fund-raising event, hosted by their Patron Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, at his terrace who gnerously matched the €3,000 collected so gave a cheque for €6,000. If your child would like to learn to fly, I would highly recommend contacting Vanessa.
Both speakers were very inspirational and I'm sure most people went home feeling motivated to follow their dreams. Melanie Astles, came from a poor background and worked in a petrol station, saving all her money to learn to fly. Melanie is the first female pilot ever to have joined the Red Bull Air Racing Team. She is a world champion aerobatic pilot and has won the French aerobatic championships more than once. She is training to be a French Air Force pilot and is determined to become World Champion, next year.
Quentin Smith "Q" runs a successful helicopter training and maintenance facility. He is a two times Helicopter Freestyle Aerobatics World Champion, the first person to circumnavigate the globe in a piston engine helicopter and the first person to fly to both North and South Poles by helicopter. He is also one of a small number of pilots to have survived ditching an aircraft in the South Atlantic. He has trained both his children His motto is "Failure is not when you don't make it...it is when you stop trying". Good to see Judy Churchill Life Coach who inspires people with the three "F's". You'll have to contact her to find out more.
